    Jai Satguru Ma,

I watched the Pune workshop videos. They have come out very good. Audios/Videos have become integral part of our learning process now. Thank you and Midhun a lot for all the hard-work.

Ma, I have few questions regarding the topic you covered in those videos “Living by God’s Will”.

    1. How do we align our day-to-today “free will” decisions with “god’s will”? Deciding between good and bad or moral vs immoral acts are easy in the sense the god’s will is always with the good and moral. However, the same is not very clear (to me at least) for personal decisions we take on a daily basis.

For example – Simple things like starting a new activity personally or pursuing something new professionally, if it results in failures repeatedly or encounter unexpected hindrances. Are we acting against god’s will here? When we do take this roadblocks as “hint” from god that this decision of ours is against his will for reasons unknown to us and not pursue it further
and when do we say, these roadblocks are just coincidences and move ahead?

    2. In the part II of the video, you have used word “awakened” few times. Could you elaborate on this please. What does this word actually mean? what are the signs of an “awakened” person?

    Reverence and Gratitude

My dear Kiran, your question will help so many hence replying in detail.

When we live our life by God’s will, the appointed Gurus are aware of the fixed path of our life course in the form of fate, prarabdh or destiny. Destiny will roll out systematically from time to time.
When the aspirant begins in the first place, the role and importance of his or her fate is unknown to the aspirant. Having said that, the sequence of particular events do take place anyway. Sometimes, the life circumstances are contrary and we cannot control anything.
However, gradually when the aspirant is deeply rooted in mind with the mind of the Guru and contemplates on the divinity of the enlightened Guru, slowly through this process, the negative side effects of the aspirant’s disharmonious and afflicting life circumstances wither out. They begin to fade away slowly. Sometime around this time, the aspirant’s mind is so united with the Guru that he or she starts taking the advice of the Guru in all aspects of life even personal and professional growth. Since the Guru can alter to a large extent the contour of the fate of his or her disciples as their devotion and surrender becomes near perfect, the course of fate changes. Even if the times are hard or conflicting, the Guru gives an insight and the reasons of such causes and helps to bear the difficult patch by walking hand in hand mentally with the Guru throughout.

At present you are not acting against God’s will, you are working out your karmas. Therefore, disintegrate the ego by humbling yourself more and more and be conscious and do not allow the current ego to bloat and inflate again.
During meditations and quiet times, humbly ask God to give you solutions to your problems and wait patiently till they come. If asked with childlike innocence, the exact answers shall arrive at your doorstep at the perfect time. Remember to acknowledge them!
Kiran-2. In the part II of the video, you have used word “awakened” few times. Could you elaborate on this please. What does this word actually mean? what are the signs of an “awakened” person?

Me-During my talk in Pune, I was referring to an enlightened person or awakened man. A person who over a long period of time works on himself or herself and removes his or her ignorance of the presence of God within oneself is awakened. Once the presence of God is aroused within, there is a complete change and such people diverge or stand apart. Qualities are-Awakened people rely on God and depend on their intuition. The voice of God is the intuition. Their life is divine. They surrender their actions and the results to God and live each day as it unfolds. Attachment to worldly objects and lust and greed are absent and they love all unconditionally.

The list is long but for now a few qualities of an enlightened person are as mentioned above.
Kindly go through the talk again and you shall find so many more qualities which are of an enlightened person since I was referring to Bhagwad Gita there. I was referring particulalry to chapter 2, verse 48 of Sankhya yoga.

      योगस्थ: कुरु कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा धनञ्जय |
      सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्यो: समो भूत्वा समत्वं योग उच्यते || 48||
yoga-sthaḥ kuru karmāṇi saṅgaṁ tyaktvā dhanañjaya
siddhy-asiddhyoḥ samo bhūtvā samatvaṁ yoga uchyate

“Settled in Yoga when success and failure have become the same, perform actions without attachments, O Arjuna. It is said that Yoga is equanimity.”

With God’s love and grace for you and all.
      Yours Ma

“Each and every life experience is etched in our Mann.”
“Memories lull when we meditate. Only Gurus can erase.”
“Whatever unhappy experiences you have got, promise yourself you will never give that back to others. You were deprived doesn’t mean you will deprive others. Give the best to the world and the best will come back to you.”
“It takes 80,000 life experiences to qualify for prabutva gyan”
“Say yes to everything. Accept and embrace everything that comes your way. Shouldn’t have any concept of saying No.”
“Outside maya doesn’t hurt/help. It is our mann which gets affected. Only our willingness will create that maya, otherwise there is no maya.”
